The mixing console is an integral part of any successful event, giving the operator a wide range of options to manipulate what the audience and the performers perceive. A digital mixing desk takes what used to require many different pieces of equipment, and incorporates them into one, powerful, compact device. A reasonable amount of familiarity/knowledge is needed to operate a digital mixer, hence, we recommend using an experienced sound engineer.
When bringing in a full PA, we bring a digital mixer to save on space when packing and weight. This also gives our front of house tech‘s full control over the signal that’s going out to the PA and what is coming into the desk. We have a range of different digital mixers by different manufacturers so we should have something that your engineer will be happy and comfortable with.
Generally utilised in a more complex setup, no matter the size of your event, a digital mixer will more than meet all of your needs.
