We now have a Lectern and Goose neck microphone for conferences and seminars. Address your audience in style – even the PM would look great behind one of these beautiful smooth semi matt black numbers. We also have brand new staging pieces, more compact than our previous design, easier to carry on site and setup for you. Photos soon!
While doing a few bits and pieces round the website I thought it might be nice to do a quick blog update.
Well lately we’ve been busy with Orientation gigs, I managed to not take many pictures because sometimes it gets a bit like that when busy. In fact, the only pic I seem to be able to find on my phone is one of this guy wearing a lycra suit at Shadows (Auckland University Bar)

Over the weekend The Rock Factory did sound for a show at The Auckland Museum.

Our new studio is right next to the museum/domain and it’s pretty much become one of my favourite places.

Oh here’s our little truck ‘Percy’ and our big truck… which as far as I know doesn’t have a name (suggestions welcome!).

And lovely dramatic skies that made me wish I had a better camera than the one on my phone haha

And here’s Mark running soundcheck in the foyer of the Museum.
Also been in the studio a bit lately but haven’t taken many pics as I am usually too busy pressing the buttons, you know how it is. So if you’re a band that’s recorded with us lately, and you want to send us through your recording pics to chuck onto the blog I’d really love that!
Hope all is well readers, keep checking the website for new specials and updates. And don’t forget to join our mailing list on the right there!

This summer, jammed in between christmas and new years and the rush of live sound and event production for various festivals and gigs we somehow managed to find time to build a new recording studio! Here are a few pics from the building process that I snapped on my phone…
The walls, lovingly recycled from our previous two locations!

And then the painting and plastering…

Carpet and computers…

Finishing touches…

Dave from Miscreant Recordings drops by, we’re going to be working with him when he moves to Melbourne shortly (you can read more about this HERE)

And the studio gets put to work!

So hit us up if you would like to come check out the studio or record with us. Our contact details are on the side bar!

Heya!!
Just a quick update with few pics of some of what we’ve been up to at The Rock Factory lately…
A night of legendary pizza bread puff things and amazing bands!
Read more about the night here

Bands, dance groups, stalls, and a Santa Parade

The little Lady Gagas were my favourite dance group!
Two school choirs on two different days. We got a bit excited about the awesome organ, and the carols were beautiful as was the setting!

Josh, drummer for The Twitch gets tattooed backstage before the show!

And there’s been heaps more going on, outdoor events, gigs, recordings and even the occasional day off, it’s a busy time of year for us! More pics coming when I raid Michelles phone again
Hope you’re enjoying the summer!

Hello again,
Busy busy as usual, so just a quick post to let you know what we’ve been up to.
We’re pretty excited about our lovely new PEOPLES CHOICE AWARD!
A huge thanks to everyone who voted and to the NZCEE – New Zealand’s Conference & Events Expo.

As well as being at the expose, we’ve had Michelle off down in Thames judging a corporate Battle of the Bands competition, we’ve been involved with A Lakeside Affair, we put together a massive P.A. system for the Grey Lynn Festival, and a bunch of other things, hopefully I’ll get some time to put some more photos up soon!
Hope all is well, I will update you again soon!

Lately we at the Rock Factory have been busy, not just with… A BRAND NEW SHINY ORGANISED WEBSITE! But here are some of the other things we’ve been up to as well…
We supplied the PA and Backline for the lovely and talented Sola Rosa to play for fashion weekend.

The Rock Factory supplied the PA, Projectors and screens for this fundraising event at the Hilton Hotel.

The ‘Girls Team’ rocked down to Whakatane in our little truck Percy to deliver a PA for these epic bands to use at their show.

Mile High took us and a P.A. along on their winter tour a little while back, which was a pretty cool adventure.

As well as traveling around the country we have been lately recording Shift, Invader Cain, My Asylum and Jandal.

We also have beautiful new Double 18 subs. These quality speakers weigh 100kg each but the heavy hauling effort becomes worth it as soon as you hear a pair of these running off a 5000 watt amplifier. These will shake the walls and give you a warm and amazing low end to your beats and drum kit sound reinforcement. Bass and low end fiends, DJs, drummers, bands and musicians will love these babies.
Great for Hip Hop, R&B, Rock, Drum and Bass… Any music really! Dance Magic Dance… Disco inferno!
